When Wade Wilson, Mercenary extraordinaire was Diagnosed with Cancer, he went over the edge into insanity. Only an experimential treatment designed to emulate Wolverine's healing factor saved Wilson from certain death, though it mangled his appearance in the process. But hey it motivated him to become deadpool, right? And that's good for us!
